1900 Census, Eagle County, Colorado, ED 18, Fulford, lists a possible Henry--Line 1, house 135, family 136, Kirk, Henry (or Herman) W., Head, w, j, b. Jan 1870, 30, single, b. ME, Fb. Scotland, Mb. ME, tramster, r&w, owns house (or farm?) free. There are problems with legibility and the date of birth is off by eight years. He is listed with a "partner" Chas Nevins?, 29 also b. ME, a jack packer.

1910 Census, Gunnison County, Colorado, ED 64, Precinct 24 Marble town, Page 3B lists on silver street, house 68, family 69, Kirk, Henry Wellington, Head, m, w, 38, marr 1st 2 yrs, b. California, Fb. Scot (english), Mb. ME, Tramster and Livery, r&w, rents house. He is listed with his wife Elsie 20.

Scotland, Mb. ME, Teamster for lumber camp. Lines 72-74 list his wife and two daughters, Elsey L., 30, Esther, 7 and Cleo, 1-5/12.

Glenwood Post, Feb 5, 1898-"Eagle Etchings" Eagle Co., 2/2/1898, Henry Kirk went to Glenwood last Tuesday.

Obituary in paper, Henry Kirk a resident of Redstone died at his Crystal Springs Ranch at 3 am Monday July 7, 1930. Henry Wellington Kirk was born in Los Angeles, Calif. Jan. 8, 1872 and moved to Colorado in 1890 and lived in Marble. He was united in marriage to Elsie Downing of Marble. She died Sept. 11, 1921. He has three daughters Esther, Cleo and June. June has made her home with Mrs. John Crook of Ft. Collins since her mother's death (Mrs. Crook later was a resident of Glenwood Springs). Funeral services were from Farnum Mortuary at 2 pm Wednesday with the Rev. W. S. Young officiating. Interment was in the Glenwood Cemetery.


June Kirk Blue says that Herman lived in California in a while and met Fred Booth, they came to Colorado and bought the ranch in Redstone. When June was "of age" they settled the estate on the ranch and the three Kirk girls each got some money and a piece of a piece of property. 1/7/05
