Theodore (Dory) Malott

Theodore "Dory" was the last of the Malott brothers to come to Clermont County, Williamsburg Township, Ohio in 1805. He is the son of Peter & Sarah / Rachel Malott. The maiden name of Sarah or Rachel may have been Tracy, as a clue was left by Theodore's grandson, Daniel, whose full name was Daniel McThaniel Blue Lane Tracy Malott. Daniel's mother's maiden name was Susanne Blue and his grandmother's maiden name was Ann Lane leaving Tracy as possibly being his great grandmothers' maiden name. Theodore married ca 1780, Ann Lane in Washington County, Maryland, they spent their first twenty-five years of married life on the farm of Theodore's father where all their known children were born. Theodore served in the Revolutionary War, at Morristown and Quibbletown PA. He died March 10, 1845 in Brown County, Ohio and is buried in the Greenbush Cemetery, Green Township, Brown County, Ohio. His wife Ann (Lane) Malott died sometime between 1811 and 1820. She is probably buried in the Greenbush Cemetery along side of Theodore in an unmarked grave.

Theodore married Ann Lane in 1780 in Washington Co., MD. (Ann Lane was born in 1759 in Frederick County, Maryland and died between 1811 and 1820 in Brown Co. OH..)
