Frank Yereb

  General Notes:

Frank Yereb, 86, of Greensburg, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 2003. He was born June 28, 1916, in White Valley, a son of the late Valentine and Anna Yereb. Frank and his wife, Eleanor, were foster parents to 28 children. He retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad after 39.5 years of service and was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Greensburg. He lived in Pershing Square, Greensburg, where he did maintenance work. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor (Bargerstock) Yereb; and three brothers, Tom, Earl and Rudy Yereb. Surviving are two daughters, Marlene Russell and her husband, John, of South Greensburg, and Donna Poscich and her husband, David, of Glastonbury, Conn.; four grandchildren, Jane and Jeanine Semenko, Denean Pyle and Doug Poscich; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hilda Yereb and Angie Lucas; a brother, John Yereb; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the WOLFE-VON GEIS FUNERAL HOME INC., Export, where service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor John E. Duvall officiating. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.

Frank married Eleanor L. Bargerstock, daughter of Harry C. Bargerstock and Amanda Keister, on 11 Jan 1945 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. (Eleanor L. Bargerstock was born about 1919 and died before Feb 2003.)
