Mary Jones

  General Notes:

Mary died on the 4th of October, 1878, at the residence of her son, Solomon S. Isgrigg, Mother Mary Isgrigg, in the 83rd year of her age. Mrs. Mary Isgrigg was bom in Carroll County, Maryland, was raised and married there; with her husband came to Huntingdon County, Penn.: thence to Clinton County, in the year 1838. Her husband, William Isgrigg, died in 1856. Mrs. Isgrigg was the mother of ten children, seven of whom survive her. Four sons and three daughters yet remain. Mother Isgrigg was esteemed and respected by all who knew her. For more than fifty years she was a member of the church and throughout all this lime she lived a consistent, devoted Christian life. During the latter years of her life she suffered much but never complained or murmured. She has entered upon her reward, and her works do follow her. The funeral survices were held at Farmer's Chapel, and the funeral sermon was preached by Rev. William Graham, pastor of the M.E. church in Frankfort. The remains interred in the Bunnell graveyard.7

Mary married William Isgrigg, son of John Isgrig and Helen (Elinor) Dimmitt, on 12 Mar 1816 in Frederick County, Maryland.
