Mary Jane Wigle

  General Notes:

- Mary Jane Glass, 74, of Harrison City, died Saturday, March 20, 1993, in Forbes Regional Health Center, Monroeville. She was born July 17, 1918, in Penn Township, a daughter of the late John Chalmers and Mary Emma Hild Wigle. She was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ, Larimer; and a founder of the Association of Retarded Children, Irwin Unit. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Wigle. She is survived by her husband, Clarence M. Glass; a daughter, Darlene Glass, at home; two brothers, Herman Wigle of Export, and Charles Wigle of Trafford; and one sister, Rena Yocum of Marion, Ind. Friends will be received at the JAMES E. LINDSAY FUNERAL HOME INC., Harrison City, Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph M. Kim officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Memorial Park, Monroeville. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made the Association of Retarded Children, Mary Jane Glass Memorial, RD1 Box 65, Harrison City, Pa. 15636.

Mary married Clarence M. Glass. (Clarence M. Glass was born on 2 Mar 1909 in Hastings, Cambria County, PA, died on 27 Nov 2005 in Harrison City, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania and was buried in Restland Memorial Park, Monroeville, PA.)
