General Notes:
He was a member of the Massachusetts Militia. He was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the Cavalry, 1st Brigade, 6th Divisin, 11 July 1823. He was promoted to Captain on 15 Aug 1825 and to Major on 13 June 1827. He was honorably discharged from the militia at his own request on the 6th day of May 1829. John Heath served as constable of Worcester from 1825 to 1848. He worked as a freight and statio agent of the Norwich and Worcester Railroad until 1851. He was planning on moving to Nashua, NH in 1854 when he was robbed and murdered.
