Her husband worked as a foreman for Latrobe Iron and Ore Foundry while farming with his wife and father-in-law until his death. Upon retirement, 1986, Sigfried assumed full time farming with the addition of beef cattle and swine breeding until his death,

Sigfried married Betty Jeanne Trice, daughter of Simon Frank Trice and Ruth Eva Albright.
