Susan Moyers

  General Notes:

Found under a picture of Susan Meyer's grandson, James Crumley. This eludes to the fact that our Meyers relatives could have been Native American, Delaware Tribe. Susan was the sister of Mary Meyers, wife of Benjamin Oakley. James' mother, Charlotte, would be a first cousin to our great grandfather William. James Madison Crumley was a son of Spencer and Charlotte (Rumbaugh) Crumley. He married Estella Polina Avella Rosina Pea in 1891.James' grandmother Susan (Moyers/Meyers) Rumbaugh was a Delaware Indian and his other grandmother Susan Crumley was a Cherokee Indian."

Susan married Solomon Rumbaugh, son of David Rumbaugh and Susannah Truby, on 23 Apr 1844 in Indiana. (Solomon Rumbaugh was born on 18 Aug 1821 in Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County, PA, died on 13 Aug 1850 in Missouri and was buried in New Site Cemetery, Monett, Barry County, MO.)
