Larry served our country proudly when he fought in WWII as part of the United States Naval Force. Lawrence then worked at Clark Equipment until his retirement in 1986. He also served on the Howard Township Volunteer Fire Department as a firefighter and fire inspector. While serving as a fireman, he was a member of the Howard Township Waterball Team #1 which was a five-time state champion team. He was also a former member and usher of Christian Center Cathedral of Praise in South Bend, and more recently was a member of Christ Church, also of South Bend. Parsons served for many years as a scout master in the Boy Scouts of America and was an Elder in the First Church of Christ in Niles.
Lawrence married Fern A. Steele. (Fern A. Steele was born on 31 May 1930 and died on 28 Aug 1999 in Niles, Berrien County, Michigan.)
