Elven was baptized in Christian faith April17, 1920 at Colorado Springs. His first serious illness came upon him in April 1922 and the second attack about the same time the following year from which he apparently recovered seeming in good health until August 10, 1923, peritonitis caused from the previous operation set in, resulting in death at 2:30 P.M., aged 15 years.
