John Ruff

  General Notes:

Settled in Columbiana County, Ohio in 1804. John and his wife are buried on their farm, the family cemetery is located in Section 3 of West Township, east of Knox School Road near the section line of Sections 3 and 4, and about 1/2 mile from section line dividing sections 3 and 10. It is called the Ruff Cemetery, which is completely destroyed now. A number of family members were buried there, but no headstones are left.

John married Elizabeth Truby, daughter of Christopher Truby and Isabella (Sybilla) Bauman. (Elizabeth Truby was born in 1769 in Bucks County, PA and was buried in Ruff Cemetery, West Township, Columbiana County, Ohio.)
