Old newspaper clipping, undated, but probably 1904 - "Greensburg, May 22 - Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Brady Martin celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Will F. Hayden here today. Mrs. Martin was Miss Elizabeth Lauffer. Families of both Mr. and Mrs. Martin have resided in the county since the Revolutionary war. Mr. Martin served through the Civil War and with the Twenty Third Pennsylvania Volunteers." It was accompanied by a photo of each, with the heading , "Westmoreland County Couple Celebrate Golden Wedding."
Elizabeth married Joseph Brady Martin on 22 Mar 1854. (Joseph Brady Martin was born on 22 Mar 1831 in New Florence, Westmoreland County, PA and died after 1910.)
