Rachel Laufer

Residence is thought to have been near Meadville, PA. Their location was not known to Grandmother Scholl, nor Jacob P. Laufer, who supplied most of the data as to the daughter of Old Peter. Rachel was the eldest of the five daughters of Peter, the Revolutionary shoemaker.
There is a Henry and Rachel Renner in the 1850 census in Wayne Co., Plain Twp., OH that have a Peter and Juliann Strauss and their children all living together. It is possible that this is the correct Rachel Lauffer since it is shown that Rachel had a daughter, Juliann. If so, she was born in abt 1797 as the youngest child of Peter Lauffer, not the oldest. They went on to live in Seneca Co., OH in the 1860 and 1870 census.
Rachel married Henry Renner.
