Frank and Ruth settled in Jeannette, PA. Frank, Clifford,Leonard, and George worked in the Jeannette Glass Works. The work conditions were hazardous but other work was limited at the time.
The family was very musically talented. Ruth played the organ and piano. Clifford played the banjo and guitar, Leonard played the accordion and mandolin, George played the guitar, and Garnet played the mandolin. Music was always part of the family gatherings.
After Frank passed away, the family moved to Paterson New Jersey. This was during the Depression years and there were better opportunities to get jobs in the textile industries in Paterson, which was known as "Silk city". Clifford worked in the textile printing industry until his retirement. George worked as a mechanic and then worked in the textile industry.
Frank married Ruth Susan Henderson on 18 Dec 1905. (Ruth Susan Henderson was born on 7 Aug 1888, died on 29 Jun 1981 and was buried in Fairlawn Cemetery, Fairlawn, NJ.)
