COZAD - Paul Albert Holbein, 82, of rural Lexington died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002, at Cozad Southview Manor.
He was born Oct. 20, 1919, in Eustis to Karl and Mary (Reiker) Holbein. He went to school through ninth grade in Eustis and then helped his father farm.
He moved to his farm in 1945. On Oct. 6, 1946, he married Neva Loffer in Eddyville. He was a member of the Elks Club of Cozad and of the church.
Survivors include his second wife, Vivian; son, Larry of Woodstock, Ill.; daughter, Bev Patterson of Sumner; sisters, Martha Hanson of Cozad and Clara Grabenstein of Eustis; four grandchildren; stepdaughters, Pam Hossask of Tucson, Ariz., Cindy During of Cozad and Sandy Gerry of Pittsfield, Maine; six step grandchildren; and two step great -granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his first wife, two brothers, a sister and a granddaughter.
Paul married Neva Loffer, daughter of Harry Loffer and Bertha Anna Lahm, on 6 Oct 1946 in Eddyville, Dawson County, Nebraska. (Neva Loffer was born on 22 May 1921, died on 17 Oct 1973 and was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Lexington, Nebraska.)
