Pritts, 29, Ligonier, died Thursday night two hours after his auto was involved in a collision on Route 711 south of here. Pritts' car was struck in the rear by an automobile driven by Charles Wigle, 60, of Harrison City. Wigle was admitted to McGinnis Hospital here with a skull fracture and possible internal injuries. He was listed as critical. Pritts died of a skull fracture, shock and internal injuries, Westmoreland County Coroner Stephen Yoney said.

Wigle, 60, of Harrison City, became the second person to die as a result of a headon traffic collision Thursday night on Route 711, near Ligonier. Wigle died early Saturday morning at McGinnis Hospital in Ligonier of a fractured skull, internal injuries and shock. He had been listed in critical condition at the hospital from the time of his arrival. Donald C. Pritts, 29, of Ligonier, died about two hours after the collision. A passenger in Wigle's auto, Mrs. Thelma Bradly of Irwin remains in "satisfactory" condition at the hospital. Wigle was born in Paintertown Aug. 9. 1889, a son of the late John and Martha Baer Wigle. He was a retired car inspector for the Pennsylvania Railroad Company at the Pitcairn yards and had formerly resided in Larime. Surviving are two children, Mrs. Evelyn Lindh of Harrison City and Charles M. Wigle Jr. of Circleville, four grandchildren; three brothers, Logan K. of Irwin, Chalmer J. of Level Green and C. Lauffer of Larimer, and two sisters, Mrs. Melissa McWilliams of Level Green and Mrs. Hattie Elliott of Paintertown.
From The Daily Courier, Connellsville PA, May 20, 1964, Page 4 HIGH COURT AWARDS $32,000 to FAMILY OF COLLISION VICTIM The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania has handed down a verdict of $32,000 to the family of the late Donald Pritts of Ligonier, R.D. 3. The suit was for the loss of life brought against the estate of Charles Wigle of Harrison City. Pritts and Wigle were killed in an automobile accident in Westmoreland County in 1961. Damages amounting to $32,000 were determined in 1962 when a jury returned a verdict against the Wigle estate. Westmoreland County Judge John M. O'Connell later reversed the decision, giving the Wigle estate a new trial. Atty. George Lampropolos appealed the new trial order to the Supreme Court and it reversed Judge O'Connell, reinstating the original jury verdict in favor of the Pritts estate.
Charles married Clara Good about 1913. (Clara Good was born on 27 Oct 1893 in Larimer, PA and died in Jun 1957 in Larimer, PA.)
