Jacob Mechling III

Jacob had an inn in the town of Butler. He was politically active, served as associate judge, Prothonotary, treasurer and chief burgess. He served in the War of 1812 as a lieutenant.

Jacob married Jane Sanderson Thompson, daughter of John Thompson and Unknown, on 13 May 1823. (Jane Sanderson Thompson was born on 22 Sep 1796 and died on 14 Mar 1872.)
