Johannes H. Rosenstiel came from the Palatinate area of Germany to Philadelphia on September 28, 1733, at the age of 19, and settled in York PA. He arrived on the Ship, "RICHMOND AND ELIZABETH" - Captain Christopher Clymer.
He, his wife, and children's names appear on a ledger in the Christ Lutheran Church in York as being members in that church.

Johannes married Anna Gerthart. (Anna Gerthart was born in Germany.)
