Nicolas, "Nick", sometimes went by Lee. He was listed as a skilled Brick and stone mason and tile setter when he enlisted for WWII on 23 September, 1943. His last place of residence was 21921 Elkton, Cecil, Maryland.

Nicholas married Vera Irene Lauffer, daughter of Rosco Love Lauffer Sr. and Bessie Edith McCune, on 4 Jul 1940 in Crozet, Virginia. (Vera Irene Lauffer was born on 22 May 1916, died on 16 Oct 2003 and was buried in Twin Valley Memorial Park; Delmont, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.)
