Henry was listed as a laborer on marriage license. Came to US in1863. Could not read or write. In the 1850 census his two daughters, Sadie , 10, and Alice, 6, were living with him.

Henry married Sophia Eisaman, daughter of Michael Iseman and Elizabeth Steiner. (Sophia Eisaman was born on 7 Apr 1836 in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, PA, died on 17 Jun 1910 in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania and was buried on 18 Jun 1910 in Hillview Cemetery, Greensburg, Westmoreland Co., PA.)
