Joseph Junior Erwin, 72, of New Stanton, formerly of Bovard, died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg.
He was born in Hempfield Township, Sept. 23, 1926, and was the son of Evelyn Croushore Erwin of Greensburg and the late William Joseph Erwin.
He was a member of the First Trinity United Church of Christ in Youngwood.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his two aunts, Ruth Chedrick of Greensburg and Carrie Stahl of Tampa, Fla.; and numerous cousins.
Family and friends will be received at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home Friday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Scott Frost officiating. Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park. The family has requested memorial contributions to the First Trinity United Church of Christ in Youngwood.
