One of the best publications we have received recently is "The Biographical Directory of the Railway Officials of America," edited and compiled by T. A. Busbey, and published by the Railway Age, Chicago. It contains a complete and useful directory of the men prominently identified with the important business of transportation in this country. In the list we note sketches of S. S. Blair, superintendent, and James A. Beamer, master mechanic of the Tyrone division, Pennsylvania railroad.

A DISTINGUISHED GUEST
Two in One Week Pretty Good For Tyrone.

For an hour or two last Monday morning Tyrone had the honor of entertaining Governor Miller, of Delaware and the day following John Philip Sousa, the famous composer and musical director, very quietly slipped into town and was entertained at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Beamer. There has been a warm friendship between Mr. Beamer and Professor Sousa for a number of years and his coming to Tyrone especially to see our fellow townsman only marks a closer fellowship existing between these two gentleman.

The Beamer Buick car was brought into good service and the distinguished musician taken over the city and shown points of interest in Tyrone.
