Daniel and Elizabeth natives of Pa. moved to Darke Co. Ohio about 1838. About 1840 Daniel met with an accident that cost him his life. He as unhitching a horse in the yard when the animal became enraged and gave Daniel a terrible kick in the stomach which caused his death a few hours afterward.
Daniel married Elizabeth Kreider, daughter of David Kreider and Gertrude Miller, on 23 Nov 1832 in Brookville, Montgomery Co. OH. (Elizabeth Kreider was born on 13 Oct 1812 in Montgomery Co. OH, died on 31 May 1898 in N. Manchester, Wabash County, Indiana and was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery - No. Manchester, In.-- Section 2--Row 3.)
