Henry was a Huntington County pioneer, having come from Perry County, Ohio in 1837 to settle 160 acres, all heavily timbered. He paid one hundred dollars for this property in Warren Twp. This property is at the corner of 800N and 750W. Henry and his family were the second family to settle in Warren township. He remained on the original homestead until his death Aug. 16, 1880.
Henry married Susannah Ream (Riehm), daughter of Jacob Ream (Riehm) and Susannah Good, on 13 Aug 1826 in Perry Co. OH. (Susannah Ream (Riehm) was born on 25 Jun 1807 in Perry Co. OH, died on 27 Aug 1876 in Huntington Co. In. and was buried in Clear Creek Cemetery-Huntington Co. In..)
