General Notes:
John Stone was a cordwainer by trade. In 1712, John and his family moved to Braintree, Massachusetts, USA and lived there until 1717 when he sold the land and moved to Stoughton, Massachusetts, USA. It is thought that he lived there for a few years and then in 1727 he bought property in Killingly, Connecticut, USA. This land was located in that part of Killingly which in 1730 became the parish of Thompson and in 1785 the separate town of Thompson. Thankful died about 1717 and John about 1733 in Killingly (Thompson), Connecticut, USA. Thankful and John had 5 children.
John married Thankful Capen, daughter of John Capen and Susanna Barsham, about 1696. (Thankful Capen was born on 22 Apr 1669 in Dorcester, Massachusetts, USA and died about 1717.)
