Anna Maria (Mary Anne) Drumm
General Notes: The following information was provided by Shelba Davis: The detailed location for the cemetery is the Hillville/Lower Hillville community (called both). The land containing the cemetery, originally owned by Maria Magdalena Lauffer and husband Jacob Truby, passed down through my line to my late brother and me, so I know exactly where it is located. As my line came to Texas in the early 1900s (my brother wound up in Colorado), a few years back we sold the land to a relative and a cemetery committee was formed to care for it. Previously we employed a Boy Scout troop to tend the cemetery. Anna married Bartholomew (Bartol) Laffer, son of Christian Lauffer Sr. and Susanah Catharina Best, on 27 May 1769 in Moore Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. (Bartholomew (Bartol) Laffer was born in 1754 in Moore Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania, died on 1 Jan 1822 in Sandyville, Sandy Township, Tuscarawas County, Ohio and was buried in Lower Sandyville Cemetery, Sandyville, Tuscarawas County, Ohio.) |
