bullet  General Notes:

The following information was provided by Shelba Davis: The detailed location for the cemetery is the Hillville/Lower Hillville community (called both). The land containing the cemetery, originally owned by Maria Magdalena Lauffer and husband Jacob Truby, passed down through my line to my late brother and me, so I know exactly where it is located. As my line came to Texas in the early 1900s (my brother wound up in Colorado), a few years back we sold the land to a relative and a cemetery committee was formed to care for it. Previously we employed a Boy Scout troop to tend the cemetery.

Directions: On the Armstrong Co. side of the Allegheny River, from the bridge at Bradys Bend, go north up the west side of the river along the river road about 4 1/2 miles. On the left side of the road will be a small glade. Indiantown Run, a small stream, is on the left side of the glade with the fairly steep 300' trail leading to the Rumbaugh Cemetery on the right side of the glade. This cemetery has been surveyed and published. Records or family knowledge has added some names to the headstone list. I have a picture of Mary Ann Drumm Lauffer's tombstone.
