Henry Munger
(1828-) |
Henry Munger
General Notes: Henry was a Brick Mason. He and Phebe were living in Marshalltown, Iowa in 1880. Also in the household were Henry's son, Charles Munger, 21, a butter and eggs dealer, and Phebe's niece, Alice Rodgers, 17, who was attending school. An education evidently wasn't the only thing sweet Alice Luella Rodgers was pursuing; as records show she married Henry Munger on Christmas Day, December 25, 1881, in Marshall County, Iowa! Alice was born Oct 23, 1862 in Pennsylvania to John Hampson Rodgers (1837-1905) & Margaret Elizabeth "Maggie" Pearson (1845-1928); so she was 19 when she wed her former uncle Henry, age 53. Henry married Phoebe Rodgers on 11 Mar 1880 in Marshall County, Iowa. (Phoebe Rodgers was born on 2 Feb 1827 in Mercer County, PA, died on 18 Dec 1892 in Marshalltown, Marshall County, Iowa and was buried next to Henry.) Henry next married Alice Luella Rogers on 11 Mar 1880 in Marshall County, Iowa. (Alice Luella Rogers was born on 23 Oct 1862 and died on 21 Feb 1950 in Monrovia, California.) |
