Gerald, Prior to his retirement, was a life long farmer in Penn Township. He was a member of the Denmark Manor United Church of Christ, and was a member of the church consistory. He was a founder of the former Westland Dairy, and a former caretaker and board member of the Woodlawn Cemetery in Penn Township.
Gerald married Hazel J. Gwynn. (Hazel J. Gwynn was born on 16 Jul 1916 in Bouquet, PA and died on 6 Mar 1998 in Jeannette District Memorial Hospital, Jeannette, PA.)
