Hazel J. Gwynn

Hazel J. Berlin, 81, of Penn Township, died Friday, March 6, 1998, in Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. She was born July 16, 1916, in Boquet, Pa., a daughter of the late William A. and Louise Cramer Gwynn. She was a member of the Denmark Manor United Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald L. Berlin in 1997; two brothers, Frank and William Gwynn; and three sisters, Florence Ruth Kelley, Elsie V. Henry, and Mildred I. Theakston. She is survived by a son, Robert L. Berlin of Harrison Park; two daughters, Patricia J. Long of Grandview Heights and Geraldine Hartung of Harrison Park; a sister, Elizabeth G. Bush of Greensburg; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the JAMES E. LINDSAY FUNERAL HOME INC., Main Street, Harrison City, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph W. Kiewra officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Penn Township.

Hazel married Gerald L. Berlin, son of Israel Roy Berlin and Garnet W. Waugaman. (Gerald L. Berlin was born on 12 Oct 1915 in Penn Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylania, died on 20 Jan 1997 in Jeannette District Memorial Hospital, Jeannette, PA and was buried in Woodland Cemetery (Denmark Manaor), Export, Westmoreland County, PA.)
