Julie Ann Lewis

  General Notes:

Julie Ann Bair had twin boys, Alexander and John Leonard. Records of their father have never been found. Nor has any record been found on the one twin, John, after the age of 20. Later, Julie married John Welker, who owned quite extensive farm land on the outskirts of Jeannette. Following John Welker's death, Julie Ann inherited this farm land. In 1890, she sold this land, all 145 acres, to the City of Jeannette for more than $18,000. This area is now the Jeannette Memorial Cemetery, where Julie is buried along with John Welker and her son, Alexander, and his descendants. There are five generations buried here -- Julie Bair Welker; her son Alexander Leonard; Alexander's son, Harry David Leonard; Harry's daughter Flora Soles; and Flora's two children, Ruth Soles Peterson and Robert A. Soles.

Julie married Leonard.

Julie next married John Welker, son of Jacob Welker and Hartman Welker Rosana. (John Welker died on 6 Dec 1881.)
