Frank graduated from the Reformed Seminary in Lancaster Penn. in 1886 and was ordained on 9 June 1889. He married Sept. 15 1896 In a crowded church in which he was pastor at Austinsville, OH. to Emma E. Klingensmith. He then became pastor of the Reformed Church at Aaronsburg, Centre County, PA. Rev. Lauffer received an unanimous call to Martinsburg, Blair County and entered upon his labors there April 1, 1906. He was also taking care of a mission at Williamsburg, where a church was to be built.
