When Henry's first wife,Emerila, died in 1879, Henry was left with 7 year-old Charles Wesley and 3 year-old Malinda "Lindie" Hester Ann. Henry married Sarah Knight the following year, and Sarah raised Charles and Lindie as her own. Sarah was buried in the G.A.R. Cemetery.
Sarah married Henry Sylvester Loffer, son of Daniel Loffer and Charity Christiana Woodring, on 23 Feb 1879 in Near Dodd City, Marion County, Arkansas. (Henry Sylvester Loffer was born on 27 Apr 1846 in Franklin County, Ohio and died on 26 Jan 1913 in Bruno, Marion County, Arkansas.)

1910 Census says 4 children, 4 alive. Two daughters at home, Sylvia Henry has two sons.
Marriage preformed by Nelson Fowler, a justice of the peace of Marion County. Married in the home of Sarah Elizabeth's Brother. Place was known as the Rolla Austin Homestead Marion County Arkansas. 2 miles east of Dodd City
