General Notes:
John lived on the Old Homestead. On this farm was a large workshop where most of the spinning wheels and reels used in western Pennsylvania were made. It is not known if Grandfather Philip built this shop or his son John, but John carried on the work up to the time if his death. No doubt all of his sons at some time took part in this work and were mechanically inclined.
John married Susanna Miller. (Susanna Miller was born on 18 Jun 1791 and died on 16 Nov 1868.)
